Patient Education

The word doctor comes from the Latin word docēre, meaning “to teach.” Unfortunately, teaching has become something of a lost art in healthcare. Patients are often given a diagnosis, prescription, or treatment recommendation without being helped to truly understand what is happening, why it matters, or what they can do about it.

At 603 Chiropractic, we believe education is an essential part of good healthcare. Understanding why something matters makes it much easier to take action and make informed decisions about your health.

Throughout your care, Dr. Pratt takes the time to explain your examination findings, what they mean, and how they relate to the symptoms or limitations you may be experiencing. When applicable, this includes reviewing your digital X-rays, PostureRay™ spinal analysis, thermography, sEMG, and HRV findings in clear, understandable language.

You’ll also learn how spinal alignment, posture, movement patterns, daily habits, and stress can affect how your body feels and functions. We explain not only what we are doing, but why we are doing it, along with the role adjustments, corrective exercises, and healthy lifestyle choices play in helping you reach your goals.

Chiropractic care is something we do with you, not something that is simply done to you. The better you understand your spine and your health, the better equipped you are to take an active role in your care, make informed decisions, and achieve better, longer-lasting results.

Patient education may take place through one-on-one conversations, examination and progress reviews, personalized home recommendations, educational resources, and periodic patient workshops.
